titleOfInvention Recording liquid
abstract PURPOSE: To improve light resistance and ozone resistance by incorporating a water-soluble dye, a water-based medium and a specified compd. n CONSTITUTION: A compd. of formula II (wherein R is CH 2 COOH, CH 2 SO 3 H, or polyoxyethylene) is obtd. by reacting 4-amino-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine with hydroxymethanesulfonic acid or a halogenoacetic acid of formula I (wherein X is Cl or Br) or ethylene oxide. Then 0.2 to 12wt.% water-soluble dye (e.g. C.I. Direct Black-17) and 0.5 to 10wt.% said compd. are dissolved in 63 to 98.8wt.% water-based medium, and a basic compd. is added thereto to adjust the pH to 6 to 8. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
