titleOfInvention | Polycarbonate molding material |
abstract | PURPOSE: To increase the heat distortion temperature and improve the notching impact strength and compression - stress behavior by combining a polycarbonate having bifunctional structural units, a specific graft polymer, and other thermoplastic resins. n CONSTITUTION: (a) A mixture in an amount of 5-90 pts.wt. comprising (i) 50-95 pts.wt. of one or more of (α-methyl)styrene, a 1-4C alkylor a halogene-substituted styrene, etc., and (ii) 5-50 pts.wt. of one or more of (meth)acrylonitrile, a 1-8C alkyl (meth)acrylate, maleic anhydride, etc., and (b) 10-95 pts.wt. of a diene rubber with an average particle size of 0.09-1 μm and a gel content of 50 wt.%, are reacted in the presence of (c) an initiator comprising an organic hydroperoxide and ascorbic acid to obtain (C) a graft polymer. 5-99 wt.% of a mixture comprising (A) a polycarbonate having bifunctional structural units of the formula (wherein R 1 and R 2 are each H, a halogen, a 1-8C alkyl, a 5-6C cycloalkyl, a 6-10C aryl, or a 7-12C aralkyl; (m) is 4-7; R 3 and R 4 are each H or a 1-6C alkyl; X is C and both R 3 and R 4 are an alkyl relative to one or more Xs) and (B) 75 wt.% or less of other thermoplastic resins, is blended with 1-95 wt.% of component (C). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO |
