titleOfInvention Gel-like composition for skin
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a gel-like composition for skin, having excellent gelling state, warming action and massage effect by compounding an anionic polymeric compound and a water-soluble nonionic polymeric compound in a solvent mainly comprising a polyhydric alcohol. n CONSTITUTION: An anionic polymeric compound, preferably a carboxy vinyl polymer, and a water-soluble nonionic polymeric compound, preferably hydroxyethylcellulose or polyvinyl pyrrolidone are compound in amounts of 0.1 to 10wt.%, respectively, in a solvent containing a polyhydric alcohol (e.g. propylene glycol or glycerol) in a concentration of 80 to 100wt.%. The coating of the composition on the surface of the skin gives a non-oily, fresh and good touch to the skin and further gives a warm touch due to the hydration heat generated by a reaction with water on the skin. When the coated skin is massaged, the force of the massage sufficiently transferred to the skin to enhance the effect thereof without accompanying with the excessive peeling of corneum due to the friction. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
