PURPOSE: To improve the measurement accuracy of the sensor by forming an enzyme reaction layer consisting of an oxidation reduction enzyme, hydrophilic high polymer and electron acceptor on the surface of electrode systems. n CONSTITUTION: The sensor is constituted in the following manner: Conductive carbon paste is printed on an insulating substrate 1 consisting of, for example, polyethylene terephthalate and is dried by heating to form the electrode system consisting of counter electrodes 2, 4 and measuring electrodes 3, 5. The electrodes 4, 5 are the electrodes for removing disturbing materials and the electrodes 2, 3 detect the concn. of the substrate. The insulating paste is then so printed as to partially coat the electrode system and to leave 2b to 5b to form electrically acting parts of the respective electrodes and is subjected to a heating treatment to form the length of the insulating layer. An aq. soln. of CMC (carboxymethylcellulose) is applied on the electrode systems 2b, 3b so as to cover the surfaces and oxidation reduction enzyme glucose oxidase (GOD) is applied on the resulted CMC layer and is dried, on the surface of which a potassium ferricyanide layer is formed to obtain the enzyme reaction layer 7. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
