titleOfInvention Magneto-optical recording medium
abstract PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration of an optical recording film with a protective layer having ≤10μm thickness and to improve the durability against head clash by forming the protective layer of the resin composition consisting essentially of a specified resin contg. fluorine atom bonded to specified carbon atom. n CONSTITUTION: The magneto-optical recording medium is formed with a transparent plastic substrate 1, a dielectric film 2, a magneto-optical recording film 3, an inorg. protective film 4 and the protective film 5 of the resin composition as the outermost layer facing a magnetic field generating means. Since the film 5 is formed by the resin composition consisting essentially of a fluorine- contg. polyurethane-based resin contg. fluorine atom bonded to the carbon atom constituting the principal-chain skeleton of the film 5, the deterioration of the recording film is prevented even under high-temp. and high-humidity conditions by the protective film having ≤10μm thickness and capable of being used even in the magnetic field-modulated overwriting, hence the durability is sufficiently improved, and the durability against the head clash caused when the magneto- optical disk is initially rotated or stopped is enhanced. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
