titleOfInvention Ophthalmic drug composition for topical administration having improved topical resistance
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition containing bendazac, 5-OH bendazac and a specific amount of free lysine and enabling continuous administration over a long period. n CONSTITUTION: This ophthalmic drug composition for topical administration having improved topical resistance contains an active component selected from bendazac, 5-OH bendazac and its physiologically permissible organic or inorganic base salt (preferably lysine salt or arginine salt) and 0.1-3mol, especially 0.5-2mol, of free lysine based on 1mol of the active component. An example of the composition is an aseptic aqueous solution containing 0.5wt.% of bendazac lysinate, 0.188wt.% of free lysine, 0.38wt.% of boric acid, 0.81wt.% of potassium chloride and 0.5wt.% of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
