titleOfInvention | Heterocyclic dione as insecticide and plant growth regulator |
abstract | NEW MATERIAL: A compound shown by formula I [A is a group of formula II (an arbitrary hydrogen atom may be substituted with an agriculturally permissible substituent component) ; B is a (substituted) aryl or heteroaryl]. n EXAMPLE: 2,6-Dimethyl-4-(4-chloro-2-nitrobenzoyl)-2H-1,2-oxazin-3,5-(4H, 6H)-dione. n USE: A herbicide, a plant growth regulator or an acaricide. n PROCESS: An enol ester of formula III [A' is a group of formula IV (an arbitrary free hydrogen atom may be substituted with an agriculturally permissible substituent component)] is subjected to a rearrangement reaction with a cyanide source and a mild base to give a compound of formula I when OH of the formula II is nonsubstituted. The compound is reacted with a compound of the formula R 40 -OH (R 40 is a fixed substituent component) in the presence of a catalyst or the compound of the formula R 40 -Q (Q is a halogen) and a mild base to give a compound of formula I when OH of the formula II is R 40 . n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO |
