abstract PURPOSE:To prepare the subject blended yarn having extremely high softness and unique hand by false-twisting polyester multifilaments mixed with a specific fine pore-forming agent, untwisting the false-twisted multifilaments and subsequently subjecting the untwisted multifilaments to a thermal treatment at a temperature of >= a constant temperature. CONSTITUTION:When two or more kinds of polyester multifilaments having a breakage elongation difference of >=70% therebetween are paralleled and false-twisted, hollow polyester multifilaments compounded with a fine pore- forming agent of formula I [V is monovalent organic group; Z is OV<1>, OM<4> or monovalent organic group (V<1> is monovalent organic group; M<4> is metal); M<1> is metal; m is 0 or 1] or formula II (W is H or ester-forming functional group; M<2> and M<3> are metal; n is 1 or 2) as one or more kinds of the multifilaments are false-twisted at the ordinary temperature - 78 deg.C, untwisted and subsequently subjected to a thermal treatment at a temperature of >=130 deg.C to provide the objective blended yarn.
