titleOfInvention | Industrial bactericide and sterilization |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the subject bactericide having an excellent bactericidal action for prevention of troubles due to microorganisms in water-based solutions such as water for paper making and a cooling water for various industries over a long period by dissolving maleic anhydride into a substantially anhydrous aprotic hydrophilic organic solvent. n CONSTITUTION: An industrial bactericide prepared by dissolving maleic anhydride into a substantially anhydrous aprotic hydrophilic organic solvent such as diethylene glycol dimethyl ether or N,Ndimethylformamide. The aprotic hydrophilic organic solvent is selected from compounds (e.g. 1,2-dimethoxyethane) of formula l (R 1 and R 3 are alkyl or alkylene; X and Y are O, COO or OR 2 O), compounds (e.g. N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone) of formula II (R 4 is H, alkyl or lactam ring linked with R 1 and R 3 ) and compounds (e.g. ethylene carbonate) of formula III (Z is alkylene or O). The subject bactericide is used by direct addition thereof to the water-based solution. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
