titleOfInvention Emulsion for forming iodine-containing film
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare a film useful to promote asepsis on skin tissues by using as a hydro-polymerized emulsion a specific copolymer to be used together with an iodine-composite monomer. n CONSTITUTION: A turbid emulsion of a waterproof film-formable copolymer consists of a monomer A whose homopolymer has a glass transitional temperature below -15°C in an amount of 15-80%, a monomer B with a glass transitional temperature above -5°C, in an amount of 20-70%, and a monomer C which can be turned into a composite together with iodine and can be transferred onto skins tissues in an amount of 1-15% based on the total copolymer weight, contains 0.05-15% iodine and is dried upon applying its enough amount onto human skin tissue dried within 5 minutes. It is hydrophobic with a thickness of 0.01mm and can be extended by at least 5% before it is broken out. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
