titleOfInvention | Ceramic frame for crown |
abstract | PURPOSE: To provide a ceramic frame for a crown in place of a metal cast frame by setting alumina and leucite to a main crystal phase. n CONSTITUTION: When alumina and leucite are set to a main crystal phase, a pref. coefficient of linear expansion is provided to the ceramic material used in a conventional alloy cast frame as a building-up material and, therefore, a process building up and baking a usual ceramic material can be adapted. This ceramic material is white in its hue and easily colored by commercial pigment and built up as the substrate of the usual ceramic material as it is without using a shield material to make it possible to obtain a pref. hue. As mentioned above, the ceramic material generally used on the spot of dental treatment can be adapted and a manufacturing utensil for building up the ceramic material or baking the same can be used and a ceramic frame for a crown having a pref. coefficient of linear expansion as the substrate of the ceramic material and high mechanical strength and excellent in bio-compatibility and corrosion resistance can be provided in place of the alloy cast frame. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
