titleOfInvention Analyzing element
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an inexpensive analyzing element for measuring creatine and creatinine for diagnosing liver function, comprising a reagent layer on a substrate and a porous developing layer containing creatine amidinohydrolase on the reagent layer, having a simplified layer constitution. n CONSTITUTION: A reagent layer of at least one layer containing a reagent such as creatinine amidinohydrolase, sarcosine oxidase, peroxidase and dyestuff precursor is laid on a substrate and a porous developing layer of at least one layer containing creatine amidionohydrolase is set on the reagent layer to give an analyzing element for measuring creatine and/or creatinine. Creatinine in a specimen to be measured is made into creatine with creatinine amidohydrolase, which is decomposed with creatine amidinohydrolase into urea and sarcosine, then the sarcosine is oxidized with sarcosine oxidase to form H 2 O 2 . H 2 O 2 is reacted with peroxidase and a dyestuff precursor and the amount of the dyestuff formed is determined to measure creatine and creatinine. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
