titleOfInvention Compound ks-505 and production thereof
abstract PURPOSE: To improve anti-amnesia action and cerebral function by culturing a specific bacterium belonging to the genus Streptomyces in a medium. n CONSTITUTION: Streptomyces argenteolus A-2 strain (hereinafter abbreviated as A-2 strain) capable of producing a compound KS-505 is obtained by separation from soil. Then A-2 strain is cultured in a medium containing glucose, etc., at 20-40°C at pH6-8 for 3-10 days by aerated spinner culture to give a culture mixture. Then the culture mixture is isolated and purified by column chromatography to produce compound KS-505 shown by formula I and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof (e.g. methylamine salt, aniline salt or sodium salt) having the following properties. Property: White powder, acidic substance. FAB Mass spectrum: spectrum value shown by formula II (*1 is measured without adding salt; 2 is measured by adding salt). Molecular formula: C 61 H 88 O 11 . 13 CNMR Spectrum: spectrum value shown by formula III. Infrared absorption spectrum: spectrum value shown by formula IV. Color reaction with sulfuric acid: positive. Solubility: soluble in a solvent such as methanol. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
