titleOfInvention | Rubber composition |
abstract | PURPOSE: To improve the resistance to gasoline, sour gasoline and low temp. by compounding a specific acrylic copolymer with an acrylic rubber. n CONSTITUTION: 50 to 99.5wt.% (meth)acrylate of the formula (wherein R 1 is H or CH 3 ; R 2 is a cyano-substd. alkyl; and n≥1 and its number average value is 1 to 5), 0.5 to 10wt.% crosslinking monomer comprising an unsatd. compd. having an active functional group such as an active halogen, epoxy, or carboxylic group in the molecule (e.g. vinyl chloroacetate), and 1 to 50wt.% monovinyl or monovinylidene unsatd. monomer other than and copolymerizable with said (meth)acrylate and crosslinking monomer (e.g. ethyl acrylate) are copolymerized in the presence of a radical initiator to give an acrylic copolymer. 95 to 5 pts.wt. resulting copolymer is compounded with 5 to 95 pts.wt. acrylic rubber [e.g. a multicomponent copolymer rubber comprising (alkoxy-substd.) alkyl acrylates and a crosslinking monomer]. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
