abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition having good flame retardancy and excellent surface defect prevention, abrasion resistance and processability by mixing a composition comprising a polyolefin resin and N,N'm- phenylenebismaleimide with a carboxylic resin. n CONSTITUTION: A flame-retarding resin composition is obtained by mixing a composition comprising a polyolefin resin (A) (e.g. PE or an ethylene/propylene copolymer) and N,N'-m-phenylenebismaleimide (B) with a carboxylic resin (C) (e.g. a copolymer of ethylene with methacrylic acid). This composition is suitable as a coating material or a connecting material for wires, cables, etc., because it is made flame-retarding by adding compound (B) to resin (A) and it is improved in surface defect prevention and abrasion resistance by adding compound (C) thereto. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
