titleOfInvention Flame retardant resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a resin composition, containing a linear aromatic polyester, organic halogen compound and sodium antimonate having a specified value or above of specific surface area and excellent in thermal stability in a molten state, mechanical characteristics and flame retardance. n CONSTITUTION: A resin composition containing (A) a linear aromatic polyester (preferably polyethylene terephthalate), (B) an organic halogen compound (e.g. brominated polystyrene or brominated epoxy compound) in an amount of 1-30wt.%, preferably 2-20wt.% based on the total composition and (C) sodium antimonate having ≥3m 2 /g specific surface area measured by the BET method, e.g. sodium antimonate calcined at, e.g. 600-850°C temperature, or a finely pulverized substance having <3m 2 /g specific surface area, in an amount of 0.5-20wt.%, preferably 1-10wt.%, as necessary, ≤60wt.% inorganic reinforcing agent, diepoxy compound, heat stabilizer, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
