titleOfInvention Reagent for assaying serum fructosamin concentration in blood sample or sample derived from blood
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the public with a useful selecting object by preparing a reagent containing a coloring agent which changes in color when glucose in a sample reacts to or meets the amine group of a protein and is reduced by the active enol form of fructosamin. CONSTITUTION: In a process in which first color measurement is performed first delay time after a coloring agent is added to a sample while the sample is maintained at a controlled temperature and the pH of the sample is adjusted to an appropriate value between 10 and 14 and second color measurement is performed second delay time after the first measurement, and then, the generated color change is compared with the color change of a standard solution, the coloring agent and pH condition are selected so that the color of the coloring agent can change while glucose still reacts to the amine group of the protein in the blood and when the glucose is subjected to molecular transition and exists in the form of fructosamin. Therefore, the interference from, for example, another serum reducing material can be reduced or avoided.
