titleOfInvention Preparation of optically active dichloropropanol with treatment of microorganism
abstract PURPOSE: To produce R-(+)-2,3-dichloro-1-propanol by allowing a specific bacterium belonging to the genus Pseudomonas to act on racemic 2,3- dichloro-1-propanol in a medium. n CONSTITUTION: A bacterium belonging to the genus Pseudomonas having an ability to utilize S-(-)-2,3-dichloro-1-propanol or the cultured cell thereof is cultured in a nutritive medium containing a carbon source, nitrogen source, organic nutritive sources, etc., such as a bouillon medium to produce R-(+)-2,3- dichloro-1-propanol, which is separated for the production of the optically active dichloropropanol. The preferable examples of the bacterium belonging to the genus Pseudomonas include OS-K-38 strain (FERM 10520) and the culture is preferably carried out under conditions comprising a temperature of 25-37°C, a pH of 6.0-7.5 and a means such as an air-bubbling stirring method. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
