abstract PURPOSE: To obtain preserving agent of food having excellent effect for suppression of discoloring or change of properties, preserving of freshness of food and antimicrobial and bacteriostatic action by jointly using specific plant component with at least one species of fine porous material and far-infrared light- emitting substance. n CONSTITUTION: The aimed preserving agent contains at least one plant component selected from a group of amides, isothiocyanates, sulfides, vanillylketones and sesquiterpenes and at least one material selected from a group of fine porous material such as zeolite or porous silica and far-infrared light-emitting substance such as ceramics active ingredients.
