abstract PURPOSE: To make a picture in a weak electric field stable by applying synchronizing reset of a self-synchronizing signal only at the weak field and limiting the reset to one time per one frame. n CONSTITUTION: A self-synchronizing signal generating section 3 frequency-divides an inputted color burst signal and generates a horizontal and a vertical synchronizing signal (self-synchronizing signal). On the other hand, a field identification section identifies a field from a separation synchronizing signal outputted from a synchronizing signal separator circuit 2 to generate a field identification pulse per one frame. A reset circuit 5 uses a field identification pulse for only a period when a reception electric field strength is higher than a reference level LEV 1 to apply synchronizing reset to the self-synchronizing signal generating section 3. While the electric field strength is higher than a 2nd reference level LEV 2 , a switching circuit 8 selects a separation synchronizing signal from the self-synchronizing signals and selects the self-synchronizing signal when the electric field strength is lower than the 2nd reference level LEV 2 . Thus, the stability in a weak electric field is improved. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
