titleOfInvention Bath agent
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a well-lathering bath agent causing no cloudiness even if hard water is used, having both blood circulation-promotive and moisture- retentive effects and capable of preventing boiler scale and the dirt of bath furnaces by incorporating a bath agent comprising a carbonate and a polycarboxylic acid with a low-molecular weight organic acid. n CONSTITUTION: The objective bath agent can be obtained by incorporating (A) a bath agent comprising a carbonate (e.g. NaHCO 3 , KHCO 3 , Na 2 CO 3 ) and a polycarboxylic acid (e.g. homopolymer or copolymer of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, partially neutralized product thereof, homopolymer or copolymer of maleic acid, fumaric acid, etc.) with (B) a low-molecular weight organic acid (e.g. oxalic acid, malonic acid, methylmalonic acid, succinic acid). The amount of the acid B to be used is such as to be pref. 40 (esp. 1-30)wt.% based on the final bath agent. For the carbonate, when a combination of bicarbonate and normal carbonate and/or sesquicarbonate is to be used, the weight ratio is pref. (95:5)-(20:80) [esp. (90:10)-(50:50)]. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
