abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a water-base ink for ink jet recording, excellent in water resistance and light resistance and capable of forming a high-density recorded image by adding a dye having an alkali metal ion, a quat. ammonium ion or a quat. phosphonium ion as a counter ion to a water-base ink. n CONSTITUTION: The title water-base ink is one containing a dye represented by formula I (wherein the counter ion is any one member selected from among an alkali metal ion, a quat. ammonium ion and a quat. phosphonium ion. Although the alkali metal ion which can be used include Li + , Na + and K + , the dye in which the counter ion is Li + ion has excellent solubility. Especially, when a counter ion of formula II (wherein X is N or P; and R 5 -R 8 are each a 1-4C alkyl, a hydroxyalkyl or a haloalkyl) is used as the quat. ammonium ion or the quat. phosphonium ion in formula I, the dye has excellent solubility. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
