titleOfInvention Agent for inhibiting relapse of tumor after surgical excision operation
abstract PURPOSE: To provide an agent for inhibiting the relapse of tumor after surgical excision operation composed of a composition containing a compound inhibiting the adhesion of tumor cell in a region of the tissue to be excised (e.g. protease). n CONSTITUTION: Relapse of tumor in a local tissue of a mammal is prevented by applying a composition containing a compound capable of inhibiting the adhesion of tumor cell in the region of the tissue. The compound is e.g. (A) an agent for regulating extracellular substrate metabolism such as heparin or hydrocortisone-21-phosphate disodium salt, (B) a protease such as trypsin, dispase or pancreatin, (C) a polymer having high molecular weight such as dextran or polycarboxylic acid having a molecular weight of ≥10,000 or (D) a synthetic peptide or saccharide containing a cell condensation sequence of a specific extracellular substrate molecule such as a synthetic fibronectin peptide containing Arg-Gly-Asp sequence. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
