titleOfInvention 2-chloroisonicotinic acid amide derivative and fungicide for agricultural and horticultural purposes
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (X is H, lower alkyl, vinyl, epoxyethyl, ethinyl, hydroxy, lower alkoxy). n EXAMPLE: N-(Propargyl)-2-chloroisonicotinic acid amide. n USE: A fungicide for agricultural and horticultural purposes. It manifest high effect of combating rice blast disease, rice bacterial leaf blight, cucumber bacterial spot. Further it is effective against resistant bacteria without chemical injure to crop plant bodies. n PREPARATION: 2-chloroisonicotinoyl chloride of formula II is allowed to react with an amine derivative of formula III (X' is H, lower alkyl, vinyl, ethinyl, halogen), when needed, in the presence of an acid acceptor such as sodium or potassium hydroxide in a solvent such as water, benzene or toluene to give the compound of formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
