titleOfInvention | Estradiol-containing application agent |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the subject application agent, consisting of a polyvinylpyrrolidone layer containing a specific amount of estradiol, having an area of the above-mentioned layer in direct contact with human skin within a specified range and capable of improving sense of incompatibility and skin contact dermatitis and providing stable blood level of a drug. n CONSTITUTION: The objective estradiol-containing application agent consisting of a polyvinylpyrrolidone layer containing estradiol in an amount of 3-17wt.%, preferably 7-10wt.% based on polyvinylpyrrolidone and having 2-50cm 2 area of the above-mentioned layer in direct contact with human skin. The objective application agent is obtained by dripping a solution of a drug and polyvinylpyrrolidone dissolved in an organic solvent onto a tacky agent layer to which a gas semi-permeable or impermeable film is attached, removing the organic solvent by drying and forming the polyvinylpyrrolidone layer having 10-300μ thickness. The agent is useful for preventing and improving disorder, such as climacteric disturbance, osteoporosis, Alzheimer type dementia, etc., frequently observed in females after menopause. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
