titleOfInvention Partial attenuation method of electromagnetic radiation
abstract PURPOSE: To partially attenuate the spectrum of electromagnetic radiation by giving a protective layer formed of at least two kinds of elements or compound of these elements to a substance while selecting these elements from a group of specified elements. n CONSTITUTION: A composition or protective layer is used which is formed of two or at least two kinds of elements having a complimentary absorbing property in a selected portion of an electromagnetic radiation spectrum having different energy and in 10-200keV of range. The elements are selected from a group of actinium, bismuth, gold, lead, mercury, polonium, thallium, thorium, uranium, indium, platinum, bromine, molybdenum, rhodium, barium, or the like. The element composes at least 5wt.% of the protective layer and the protective layer consists of at least 40wt.% of the element. By such protective layer, the shape of radiation spectrum can be controlled to protect an object including human being. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
