titleOfInvention Manufacture of assembled-wire coil
abstract PURPOSE: To facilitate current conduction and fixing of assembled wires such as litz wires and to implement automation by immersing the end parts of an assembled-wire coil comprising the desired number of insulated electric wires having self-fusing and fixing property into a solder or tin bath to which a power source is connected. n CONSTITUTION: Assembled wires, e.g., litz wires 6a having a self-fusing and fixing property are wound in a coil shape by the desired number of turns by current conduction and heating. An assembled-wire coil body 6 is formed. Solder is fused in solder cells 1 by heating with a heater wire 2 beforehand. End parts 6b of the litz wires and so-called insulated electric wires are immersed in a solder bath A. At the same time, the insulating films of the end parts are decomposed and removed by the heat of the solder A. The current is conducted through the assembled wire coil body 6 though the solder A and the coil body is heated. The insulated electric wires, i.e., the litz wires, 6a are thermally fuzed and connected with butyral film layers which are fused with said heat as a unitary body. The adequate amount of the solder A is attached to the end parts 6b of the litz wires 6a, and soldering is performed. In this way, the soldering, current conduction and fixing can be carried out in one step. The manufacturing steps are saved, reliability is improved and automation of working can be implemented. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
