titleOfInvention | Dye-donor element for laser-induced thermal dye transfer containing infrared absorbing cyanine dye |
abstract | PURPOSE: To prevent flocculation and the mottling and chromatic shortfall of an image from occurring at the time of coating by using a specific cyanine dye as an infrared absorbing material. n CONSTITUTION: A dye layer comprises an infrared absorbing material, and the infrared absorbing material is a cyanine dye having formula (1) or a formula (2) (wherein, R 1 and R 2 are each a substituted or an unsubstituted alkyl group; R 3 , R 4 and R 5 are each hydrogen or a substituted or an unsubstituted alkyl group; Z 1 and Z 2 are each hydrogen or an unsubstituted or an atom required for forming an unsubstituted or a substituted benzene ring or a naphthalene ring; Y 1 and Y 2 are each a nitrogen atom to which an alkyl substituting carbon atom, a vinylene group, an aryl group or the like is bonded; J is hydrogen, a substituted or an unsubstituted alkyl group or the like; and X is a univalent anion. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO |
