abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the subject polyamide having excellent mechanical properties, heat-resistance, chemical resistance, etc., and suitable for fiber, etc., by polymerizing diphenyldicarboxylic acid with phenylenediamine, terephthalic acid and diaminodiphenyl ether. n CONSTITUTION: The objective polymer is produced by polymerizing (A) terephthalic acid giving the constituent unit of formula I, (B) 4,4'- diphenyldicarboxylic acid giving the constituent unit of formula II, (C) 3,4'- diaminodiphenyl ether giving the constituent unit of formula III and (D) p- phenylenediamine giving the constituent unit of formula IV e.g. by solution polymerization process. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
