PURPOSE: To improve scorch stability, storage stability and compression set by compounding an epoxy an epoxy group-containing elastomer with a specific org. compd., a quat. ammonium salt and/or a quat. phosphonium salt, a specific compd., and CaO alone or CaO and Ca(OH) 2 . n CONSTITUTION: An epoxy group-contg. elastomer such as glycidyl acrylate is compounded with an org. compd. having 2 or more linkages of formula I (wherein both X and Y are O or S, or one is O and the other is S), such as parabonic acid, a quat. ammonium salt and/or a quat. phosphonium salt, a compd., having a linkage of formula II (wherein Z is O or S) such as urea, and CaO or CaO and Ca(OH) 2 .
