titleOfInvention Production of soft polyurethane foam
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the subject foam having beautiful surface, soft feeling and excellent physical properties by using a specific polyether polyol and mixing a polyol composition and toluene diisocyanate at a specific ratio. n CONSTITUTION: The objective foam is produced by preparing a polyol composition containing (A) 100 pts.wt. of a polyether polyol containing ≥65% of terminal primary hydroxyl group, (B) 5-8 pts.wt. of water. (C) 0.2-3 pts.wt. of a silicone oil, (D) 0.02-0.5 pts.wt. of stannous octylate and (E) 0.02-0.5 pts.wt. of a cyclic tertiary amine (e.g. triethylenediamine), mixing the polyol composition with toluene diisocyanate at an equivalent ratio (NCO/OH) of 0,6-0.9 and expanding and curing the obtained mixture in a mold. The component A is preferably those having an average number of functional groups of 2.5-4 and a hydroxyl value of 24-60mgKOH/g. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
