titleOfInvention Test method and test tool for measuring total protein
abstract PURPOSE: To analyze the content of total protein or low molecular weight protein in urine and other liquid test sample accurately by composing a carrier matrix to be mixed with an indicator composition of a fibrous water absorptive basic material impregnated with a polymer urethane based compound exhibiting permeability to the liquid test sample. n CONSTITUTION: Carrier for measuring total protein is composed of fibrous water absorptive basic material selected from filter paper, wood, paper for chromatography, cloth, cellulose acetate, polyvinyl chloride, polyacryl amide, etc. The basic material is impregnated with 0.1-10wt.% of a polymer urethane based compound and 85-99wt.% of an appropriate liquid carrier wherein dimethyformamide, N-methylpyrrolidone, dimethylsulfone or a mixture thereof is employed as the liquid carrier. This arrangement enhances color resolution of analysis and the concentration of albumin of about 30mg/dl or below can be measured. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
