abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a liquid cosmetic preventing settling and color separation with time by using dye as a colorant and being readily washed away by utilizing the dye, a water-soluble organic solvent and water together with a betaine type acrylic ampholytic resin or a specific amount of surfactant. n CONSTITUTION: A liquid cosmetic for make-up such as eye liner, eye shadow, mascara, cheek rouge or lipstick containing (A) 0.2-10wt.% based on total amounts of cosmetic of dye, (B) 2-30wt.% water-soluble organic solvent and (C) water is blended with at least (D) preferably 1.5-30wt.% betaine type acrylic ampholytic resin shown by the formula (n+m=400-450; R is 1-18C alkyl) and/or (E) ≥2.0wt.%, preferably <20wt.% surfactant to give the above-mentioned cosmetic free from settling and color separation with time and being readily washed away. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
