abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a cosmetic containing a temperature-sensitive cholesteric liquid crystal composition consisting of cholestanololeic acid ester, etc., specific two kind of sterol fatty acid esters, acetic acid ester of cholesterol and sphingoglycolipid. n CONSTITUTION: The aimed cosmetic containing (A) 5-85wt.% at least one selected from oleic acid ester and isostearic acid ester of cholestanol and phitosterol, (B) 0-54wt.% sterol fatty acid ester wherein lower limit temperature of coloring as a temperature-sensitive liquid crystal excluding a compound of the group A is ≤46°C, (C) 1-44wt.% sterol fatty acid ester wherein lower limit temperature of coloring as a temperature sensitive liquid crystal excluding acetic acid ester, propionic acid ester, etc., of cholesterol and cholestanol is ≥70°C, (D) 1-40wt.% compound mentioned in the group C and (E) 0.001-45wt.% sphingoglycolipid.
