PURPOSE: To provide a thermoplastic resin compsn. with excellent moldability, impact resistance and appearance of the molded item thereof by dispersing and incorporating a disperse phase with a specified particle diameter consisting of polyphenylene oxide and a rubbery substance in a matrix phase contg. a specified modified propylene polymer. n CONSTITUTION: Polyphenylene oxide or a compsn. contg. polyphenylene oxide (A), a modified propylene polymer onto which styrene monomer or a mixture of a styrene monomer and a copolymerizable monomer is grafted or a compsn. contg. said modified propylene polymer and a propylene polymer (B) and a rubbery substance (C) (e.g. ethylene/propylene copolymer rubber) are incorporated.
