Stable aqueous solution of primycin, pharmaceutical and cosmetic compositions comprising the same solution and production of the same solution |
abstract |
PURPOSE: To prepare an aqueous solution, transparent and stable even after cooling and useful as a pharmaceutical and a cosmetic compositions by thermally mixing a salt of primycin with an adequate amount of pyroglutamic acid in isopropanol, diluting the prepared mixture with water and then stirring the resultant diluted solution under heating. n CONSTITUTION: This stable aqueous solution of primycin is prepared by suspending primycin sulfate in an amount of 0.5-1.75% (wt./vol.) based on the volume of the solution to be prepared or a complex of the primycin in an amount of 2.5-9% (wt./vol.) based on the volume of the solution to be prepared with N-methylpyrrolidone and pyroglutamic acid (preferably L-glutamic acid) or its soluble salt (especially Na salt) in an amount of 2-15% (wt./vol.) based on the volume of the solution to be prepared in isopropanol in a volume of 40-60vol.% based on the volume of the solution to be prepared under stirring and heating (preferably at 40-60°C), diluting the resultant mixture to a desired concentration with water and stirring and cooling the obtained emulsionlike suspension. A complex containing 20wt.% primycin with the N- methylpyrrolidone is preferably used. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO |
