abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the subject relatively inexpensive flexible composition, excellent in mechanical strength and flame retardance and useful as cables, etc., by blending a polyolefin composition containing a vinyl acetate component with a bromine-based flame retardant, antimony trioxide, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition obtained by blending (A) 100pts.wt. polyolefin composition containing 6-15wt.% vinyl acetate component with (B) 20-40pts.wt. bromine-based flame retardant, (C) 10-30pts.wt. antimony trioxide, (D) 10-60pts.wt. magnesium hydroxide and (E) a zinc compound. Furthermore, a stabilizer selected from lead compounds is preferably blended in the component (A).
