titleOfInvention Transcutaneous absorbefacient preparation containing crude drug extract
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a transcutaneous absorbefacient containing extract of crude drugs such as SHOZUKU (fruit of Elettoria cardamomum), SHOUKYOU (rhizome of Zingiber officinale), OUBAKU (bark of Phellodendron amurense) and KEIHI (bark of Cinnamomum cassia). n CONSTITUTION: Crude drugs such as SHOZUKU, SHOUKYOU, OUBAKU or KEIHI are dried, crushed and immersed in 10 pts. (based on 1 pt. of the crude drug) of a cold solvent such as acetone, ether, ethyl acetate or water for 3 days, and the solvent extraction process is repeated thrice. The extract is filtered and then concentrated in vacuum at ≤40°C and the obtained dried extract is used as a component of the objective agent. Acetone extract especially has excellent transcutaneous absorbability and the agent is used in the form of a liquid spray, lotion, ointment, cream, aerosol, poultice, tape, etc. Examples of the agent increasing the drug action by the use of the above agent are anti- inflammatory, antihistaminic, sulfamides, antibiotic substance, antimycotic agent, anti-malignant tumor agent, narcotic agent, psychotropic agent, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
