abstract PURPOSE: To develop the observation faculty and sustaining power by allowing a water preserving mat which is in dry state and can be cut to an arbitrary size to hold plant seeds and magnifying the change of the state after operation. n CONSTITUTION: Plant seeds 2 are held in dispersed state on a water preserving mat 1. The water preserving mat 1 has a thickness of 0.3-1cm and shaped to a wide width form having a prescribed dimension. The water preserving mat 1 uses the material which absorbs water, when contacting water, and holds said water. The seeds 2 of the cereals such as wheat, rice, and beans, edible vegetables such as radish bud, decorative plant, or weeds are selected in one or two kinds, and held on the water preserving mat 1 in dry state. The water preserving mat 1 is accommodated into a tray 4, and supplied in the sealed state into a proper bag body. Since in this state, the water preserving mat 1 is in dry state, the sprouting of the seed 2 is prevented. In the leisure use, the water preserving mat 1 is taken out and cut to the arbitrary shape and size by using a cutter such as scissors. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
