titleOfInvention Cellulose composition
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a cellulose composition suitably usable as a moisture absorbent having excellent hygroscopic property, continually keeping solid state after absorption of moisture and readily processable, comprising of a deliquescent inorganic compound and a hedroxyalkyl cellulose. n CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 pts.wt. deliquescent inorganic compound (e.g. calcium chloride, magnesium chloride or magnesium sulfate) is mixed with (B) 1-200 pts.wt., preferably 3-100 pts.wt. hydroxyalkyl cellulose (e.g. hydroxyethyl cellulose) obtained by adding an alkylene oxide to a cellulose and preferably containing 1.5-6mol, more preferably 1.7-3mol alkylene oxide added to anhydrous glucose unit to afford the aimed cellulose composition. Moisture absorbed by said composition is absorbed in B and the composition becomes to a rice cake- like or rubbery solid, then is readily processable. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
