titleOfInvention | Nonlinear optical material containing amide group |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the nonlinear optical crystal material which has high second harmonic wave generatability and molecular polarizability and has no reversal symmetry by using the optically active amide of specific conjugated arom. carboxylic acids. n CONSTITUTION: The optically active amide of at least one kind of the arom. conjugated carboxylic acids selected from the group consisting of the formulas I, II and III is used. In the formulas I to III, n denotes 0, 1 or 2; Ar denotes the group derive. from 5 to 14C arom. groups; R 1 denotes an amino group, alkoxy group, alkylthio group, nitrile group, etc.; -Ra, -Rb and -Rc are the substituents which are different from each other; -Ra, -Rb and -Rd are also the substituents which are different from each other; -Ra, -Rb and -Rc denote -H, 1 to 5C alkyl group, phenyl group, naphthyl group, etc. The nonlinear optical crystal material which has the high second harmonic wave generatability and molecular polarizability and has no reversal symmetry is obtd. in this way. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
