abstract PURPOSE:To enhance the sensitivity of the photosensitive body to long wavelength light such as semiconductor laser light by using mixed crystals which are different in the central material of a phthalocyanine compd. CONSTITUTION:The mixed crystals which are different in the central material A of the phthalocyanine expressed by the formula are incorporated into the photosensitive layer of this photosensitive body. In the formula, A denotes a material which can form the covalent bond or coordinate bond. The combination use of H2 and Cu, H2 and TiO, Cu and TiO is possible. The photosensitive body is formed by depositing the mixed crystals of H2 and Cu-phthalocyanine on, for example, an aluminum substrate to form a carrier generating layer and applying a carrier transfer layer consisting of a hydrazone deriv. and polycarbonate thereon.
