| abstract | PURPOSE: To improve separating function and preserving stability by forming a composite in combination of a specific material forming a separating layer and a specific organic gel agent with a specific ratio. n CONSTITUTION: This blood separating agent is composed of a material forming a separating layer and an organic gel agent. The separating layer forming material is a copolymer of 6-20C α-olefin (Hydrocarbon having a normal chain with a double bond of carbon-carbon at an end thereof or a low branching ratio) and maleic diester (it is good that the material, alcohol, contains 1-14 carbons). In the copolymer, 1.0mol of α-olefin is contained to 1.0-1.4mol of maleic diester. The viscosity of the separating layer forming material is 1000,000-250,000cp at 25°C. The organic gel agent is a condensation product of sorbitol and aromatic aldehyde (e.g.: dibenzylidene sorbitol). It is suitable to add 0.12-0.30 parts by weight of the organic gel agent to 100 parts by weight of the separating layer forming material.
