abstract NEW MATERIAL:A β-amino-β-lactam derivative expressed by formula I (R 1 is H or 1-8C linear, branched or cyclic hydrocarbon group; R 2 is 1-12C linear, branched or cyclic hydrocarbon group; Y is 1-22C branched or cyclic secondary diamine residue; Z is aliphatic or aromatic isocyanate residue). n EXAMPLE: 1,4-Bis (3,3-dimethyl-2-oxo-1-phenylazetidin-4-yl) piperazine. n USE: A curing agent in obtaining epoxy or urethane resins, hydrolyzable with moisture in air to form a secondary diamine or a moisture curing polyurethane composition consisting of the compound expressed by formula I and a polyisocyanate and/or polyurethane prepolymer having isocyanate groups as terminals. n PREPARATION: A secondary diamine is reacted with an aldehyde to provide a compound expressed by formula II, which is then reacted with an isocyanate to afford the compound expressed by formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
