NEW MATERIAL: N 6 -[2S-hydroxy-3-(1-naphthalenyloxy) propyl]adenosine (SC 44948) (salt) represented by formula I. n USE: A remedy for hypertensive, a congestive heart disease or angina pectoris. n PROCESS: For example, d and l-mixture of 1-(1-amino-2-hydroxy-1-propyloxy)- naphthalene represented by formula III prepared from 1naphthalenylglycidyl ether represented by formula II and ammonia is reacted with 6- chloropurineriboside represented by formula IV in anhydrous methanol in the presence of triethylamine under heating for 16 hr and, after the solvent is distilled off, the residue is recrystallized to be purified and R and S- diastereomers are passed through a column for chiral performance liquid chromatography to be separated to obtain an S-diastereomer represented by formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO |
