titleOfInvention Molded polyurethane product excellent in water absorption resistance
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a molded polyurethane product, having a density within a specific range, ultralow dimensional change and volume change in moisture absorption, containing tris(β-chloropropyl) phosphate and suitable for especially producing large-sized molded products of a complicated shape. n CONSTITUTION: A molded polyurethane product, obtained by blending (A) a polyisocyanate (e.g. diphenylmethane diisocyanate) with (B) a polyol (e.g. polyether polyol), (C) a crosslinking agent (e.g. ethylene glycol) in an amount of 5-40% based on the weight of the component (B), (D) a catalyst (e.g. triethylenediamine) in an amount of 0.01-5% based on the total amount of the components (B) and (C), (E) tris(β-chloropropyl) phosphate in an amount of 0.5-5%. preferably 1-3% based on the total weight of the components (A), (B) and (C) and optionally a foaming agent and reacting the resultant blend in a metallic mold and having 0.5-1.2g/cm 3 density with excellent water absorption resistance. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
