titleOfInvention | Crosslinkable resin composition |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition improved in heat resistance, chemical resistance, mechanical characteristics, and moldability by dissolving a specified thermoplastic resin, a polycyclic imino ether, and an acid catalyst in an organic solvent. n CONSTITUTION: The title composition is obtained by dissolving a thermoplastic resin (A) substantially free from amide bond and/or free COOH group in the molecule (e.g. an aromatic polycarbonate) having a glass transition temperature of 50°C or higher and an intrinsic viscosity of 0.3 or higher, a polycyclic imino ether (B) of formula I [wherein n is 2 to 4; R is a hydrocarbon residue of a valent of n (optionally interrupted or substituted by either an atom other than a carbon atom or a group containing an atom other than a carbon atom); Z is a direct bond or of formula II; R a-f are each H, methyl, ethyl, propyl, phenyl, tolyl or benzyl, or they may be each a direct bond when n=2] in an amount sufficient to provide a weight ratio of A to B of (90 to 30):(10 to 70), and a compound (C) acting as acid catalyst (e.g. ethyl p-toluenesulfonate) in an amount of 0.01-20mol% based on component B in an organic solvent (D) (e.g. methylene chloride) which can dissolve components A to C but does not react therewith in solution. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
