abstract | PURPOSE: To prepare the title resin improved in strength without using any solvent by incorporating a mixture of a specified thermoplastic polyester with a specified mixture into a cyanate resin. n CONSTITUTION: A poly(ether)sulfone (a) is mixed with a thermoplatic polyester elastomer (b) having a crystalline melting point of 190-250°C in a ratio of (a) to (b) of (9-5):(1-5) at 240-320°C to give a mixture (A1), which is then mixed with a lowly crystalline or non-crystalline polyester (c) in a ratio of A1 to (c) of (9-5):(1-5) at 190-240°C, thus giving a mixture (A2). The component A2 is mixed with a cyanato resin (B) [e.g. a prepolymer of 2,2-bis(4-cyanatophenyl) propane and bis(4-maleimidophenyl)methane in a weight ratio of 9:1] in a ratio of A2 to B is (5-60):(95-40) at 100-140°C. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
