titleOfInvention Fluoroelastomer hardenable for peroxide containing tetraalkylammonium halide and adjuvant
abstract PURPOSE: To allow hardening by a peroxide and improve the adhesion with metal by blending a tetraalkylammonium halide to a bromine-containing olefin- vinylidene fluoride copolymerized fluoroelastomer. n CONSTITUTION: Each component of (A) a fluoroelastomer (Br content: 0.05wt.% or more, generally 0.2-1.5%) obtained by copolymerizing a bromine-containing olefin (3 mole % or less), vinylidene fluoride (30wt.% or more) and a copolymerizable 2-7C perfluoroolefin, (B) a tetraalkylammonium halide (alkyl is a 1-10C, preferably 4C, and a halogen is Cl, Br or I): 0.02-0.8wt.% of the component A, preferably 0.05-0.2wt.%, (C) an organic peroxide hardener (preferably, a dialkylperoxide): 0.5-10% based on the component A, preferably 1.5-5wt.%, and (D) an adjuvant (cooperated with C to harden A. e.g.: a triarylcyanulate): 1-15wt.% based on the component A, preferably, 1-7wt.% is blended to form a peroxide hardening elastomer composition. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
