abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition of improved long-term storage stability by adding a polyhydrazide compound as a crosslinking agent to a cationic emulsion obtained by dispersing a carbonyl group containing copolymer in water. n CONSTITUTION: A cationic emulsion (A) is obtained by emulsion-polymerizing 100pts.wt. mixture of 0.1-40wt.% carbonyl group containing copolymer as a monomer having at least one aldehyde or keto group and one radical- polymerizable double in the molecule with another ethylenically unsaturated monomer copolymerizable therewith in water in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator and 0.1-10pts.wt. cationic surfactant.
